Created from what was once largely derelict land, the Northwich Woodlands now provides a rich and green environment to the north of Northwich town centre.
Northwich Woodlands is made up of nine countryside sites each with a different character and history. The Weaver Navigation and the Trent and Mersey canal flow through the heart of the Northwich Woodlands adding further variety to the landscape.
Northwich's own oasis with its rich countryside and stunning wetlands. Explore on foot, by bike or on horseback and enjoy this unique wilderness on the doorstep of town.

In conjunction with the Workers' Educational Association, a series of three 2 hr walks throughout the seasons. We will visit some areas in Northwich Woodlands, normally inaccessible to the public, enabling patient wildlife enthusiasts to look at the flora and fauna. Meet us at 10am we will then travel using our own transport to other areas. Bring boots or stout shoes and wet weather clothing.
