New access path at Carey
Work is underway constructing a new path suitable for users with mobility vehicles and wheelchairs.
The existing pathway that follows the line of the River Weaver to Carden's Ferry Bridge has proved to be a continual problem. Its steepness has led to significant path erosion making it difficult for users to walk comfortably. In addition, it has proved difficult for those with wheelchairs or mobility scooters to make the gradient. The new pathway will be of a less steep gradient with suitable resting and passing places making it more suitable for all users. The new pathway is planned to open by mid-October at the latest.
